LIVE AT THE LODGE
LIVE AT THE LODGE
Music - the universal shared experience!
The Lodge Arts Collective are delighted to host evenings of live bands and solo artists.
Currently on random Fridays or Saturdays rather than a regular set date, our intention
is to maybe increase to monthly events. Each Live At The Lodge event will have a fully Licensed Bar, a fantastic, welcoming atmosphere and, of course, excellent live music!

We are only open on the dates clearly advertised! We operate under Occasional Licensing - which means we are NOT open every night of the week or all the time... So put the dates in your diary and it’ll be great to see you, or join our mailing list for a heads up - but don’t just turn up hoping for a pint on a non-gig night!

Future hosting will vary in themes including, but not limited to; Alternative and Indie, Acid Jazz DJ sets, Metal, Punk EDM, more Folk in all it’s forms and anything else from the eclectic and glorious range of musicians that we can lay our hands on.... but obviously, not all styles on the same night! (or perhaps we should...?!)

Our very first gathering was a Folk/Rock evening inaugurated by the inimitable Tim O’Connor & the Poachers. He and his six strong ensemble came especially for our opening night all the way from sunny Yorkshire and enchanted us with Folk's traditional mix of romance, anarchy, and humour. They were supported by our own Mabdh & The Harlots - wistful, heartfelt and endlessly addictive Folk.
Following hot on their heels were The Razorbills; a Galloway based Indie/ Folk band who fiddle with you in just the way you like!... then an Alt/Acoustic Rock set by A Different Name Every Night,' - Chris, Sunny and the Unicorn’ gave us Glaswegian wit and stunning songs from an acoustic guitar vocalist buddied up with cello and cajon. Also, our very own razor sharp Prog Rock expressionists ‘Ebb’ and the hauntingly catchy, wistful folk stylings of ‘Mabdh & the Harlots once more. Our third date was hosting The Mindsweepers - the fantastic underground psychedelic populists hailing from Dumfries,

If you have noticed a few names pop up regularly - they are our in-house bands; signed to our record label Boudicca Records and involving members of the Collective. But don't think we have a bias - we ring the changes and always choose quality musicians to tread the boards. Do you want to play...?

Our intent is to showcase quality music of every taste, not just ours! So, if you are a skilled band of any genre or a solo artist of any style, whether you are local, from wider Scotland or further afield - then feel free to contact us by email for a slot... we look forward to hearing and sharing you!
